Welcome to Kind at Heart CIC, the platform dedicated to transforming places and communities! We're excited to introduce our new platform, which highlights our products, projects, cultural programs, workshops, and engaging articles from both our team and community members. We believe storytelling is the key to creative expression and wellbeing.
Founded by Creative Director Jacqueline Jones-Henry, a designer with over 25 years of experience in storytelling for publishers like Hearst and Conde Nast. Our space is a safe environment where we use creative tools to empower each other as we embrace the simple joy of Living, Loving, Life.
Kind at Heart CIC’s portfolio includes our first product, the book "Exploring the Power of Words: My Character," aimed at children aged 5 to 10. It promotes kindness and respect while offering a fun, engaging way for children to recognise their self-worth and grow into their best selves. The book's style champions grasping new concepts quickly. Recognising that parents and carers cannot always shield children from bullying, we seek to educate children that all children are unique and that their lives are of great value. Kenny Kiernan, an illustrator who works for brands like Marvel and Lego, created the characters who take children on a journey. Through storytelling, we nurture children’s imagination, curiosity, and engagement, boosting creativity and language skills. The book also encourages activities like poetry, songs, and plays. Our mission is to empower children with positive words and creativity, helping parents facilitate quick, meaningful conversations that foster confidence and independence—even when they are not present.
Kind at Heart CIC is dedicated to fostering inclusivity, welcoming every child—whether they are Deaf, Blind, or have special educational needs. We promote friendships that go beyond physical differences.
Show Up For Success is a collaborative programme led by Kind at Heart CIC alongside Newham Council and The Lab E20. It is a place-based initiative in East London designed to empower young people with disabilities by helping them access and excel in career pathways in the creative and hospitality industries. Target Audience: Young people aged 10-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the borough.
Barnet Women Build a Book of Memories. Jacqueline has developed a new concept in collaboration with NW7 Hub, enabling all women to create, connect, and be heard. Through their creativity, women can express themselves via letters, poems, stories, songs, and art, which will be printed in a book for family and the wider world. This project serves as a form of legacy and will be expanded to other parts of London.
Join us for "Live, Life, Love" events, where your input will help shape meaningful conversations and a supportive community environment.
